More than a century ago, 8B Ta Hien was the Quang Lac theatre. Since 2016 that stage has lived again as 1900 Le Théâtre — a DJ podium in the middle of the hall, a dance floor all around it, L-Acoustics sound and spotlights under a high steel rig. The show runs until 03:00.

Our story
An old theatre in the Old Quarter, alive again every night.
1900 Le Théâtre sits at 8B Ta Hien Street in the heart of Hanoi's Old Quarter — Hang Buom Ward, Hoan Kiem District before 1 July 2025, now Hoan Kiem Ward. The building is the Quang Lac theatre, raised at the start of the 20th century for traditional stage shows; in the 1990s it became Hanoi Roxy, then stood empty for almost twenty years.
In 2016 it reopened under a name that recalls the moment it was born: 1900. The logo is the number 1900 drawn in double strokes and wrapped in auspicious clouds on red — half heritage, half street. Inside, the DJ podium is raised in the middle of the hall so the dance floor surrounds it on every side, under a steel rig and stage curtains falling from the high ceiling. Three years running, from 2022 to 2024, 1900 was named in DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs of the world.

A DJ podium mid-hall
Instead of hiding at the back, the DJ plays on a raised podium in the middle of the floor — the crowd dances all around it, and everyone has a front-row seat.
L-Acoustics sound
An L-Acoustics speaker system hung from the steel rig covers the whole hall, with spotlights, lasers and CO2 jets changing colour with every set.
A weekly night schedule
Daily Dose on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday · Ladies' Night on Tuesday · Wicked Weekend on Friday and Saturday, with guest-DJ nights in between.
Live performances
Some nights it is aerial hoop artists among red lasers, some nights a catwalk cutting through the crowd, confetti and CO2 — true to a theatre. Guests 18+.
